With one week left to pre-order B. DOLAN’s “HOUSE OF BEES VOL. 2” lp, the folks at Strange Famous Records have finally let us hear “KING BEE”, the song teased in the original HOB2 trailer that debuted a month ago.
The song finds Dolan in no mood to pull punches, teeing off with a brash reminder of his hard-earned credibility: “I invented Ugly,” he declares, and proceeds to bare his teeth at more than a few of his peers in Rap. He’s sounding more seasoned and antagonistic than ever on this one, and doesn’t hesitate to throw shade at a field of peers who would rather “stay home and hope to go viral” than dedicate themselves to the craft and hustle to be King.
His Highness Buddy Peace punctuates the song with a jaw dropping scratch sequence, right before the drag Queen (and Dolan’s Church of Love & Ruin partner) Ms. Nicholle Pride comes through to address Drake with a cameo of legendary, Prince Paul-esque proportions.
