Buddy Peace Soundcloud Selection
* ‘Go To Hell, Bastards!’ (2011 Six Ton Armor ‘Psychast’)
A mix produced for the grand Six Ton Armor psych-mix website. I dissected a batch of electronic music pieces from around the 60’s/70’s (some 80’s) and re-constructed, re-arranged and composed a mix from the bloody pieces which lay in front me. The blood doesn’t wash out. Neverthless, enjoy!
* This Is The Kit: ‘Earthquake’ (Buddy Peace ‘Faulty Lines’ Remix’) (2011 Need No Water 7”)
A remix I made for a wonderful band making wonderful music. My remix features on the B-side of the blue vinyl 7”.
* Buck 65: ‘20 Odd Years - Avant’ Volumes 1, 2 & 3’ / ‘20 Odd Years’ (2010/2011 Warner Music Canada)
‘Avant’ Volume 1 - scratches on ‘Gee Whiz’ / ‘Avant’ Volume 2 -scratches on ‘The Niceness’ / ‘Avant’ Volume 3 -scratches/edits on ‘Lights Out’ & ‘Zombie Delight’ / ‘20 Odd Years’ - scratches on ‘Gee Whiz’ / ‘Zombie Delight’ / scratches/edits on ‘Lights Out’.
* Sole: ‘Donald Trump In The New Gilded Age’ (2011 soleone.org)
Sole invited me to step aboard this jammie and have some fun with a Mac Miller response. It’s not a dis-track by any means, but Sole drops a huge amount of science and the video is really sick too. Power moves from the big fella. I did the background looping of the main track- some old mixtape style action right here. Peep this, and his other videos- crazy stuff going down over there…

* Noah23: ‘Fry Cook On Venus’ (2011 Fake Four)
I did the cut sections on the track ‘Old Dog’ (featuring Ghettosocks).
* ‘Late Model Sedan’ (2009 Strange Famous)
My debut solo album, released in 2009 on Strange Famous Records. A totally self produced work made with a collage approach and a wood paneled saloon in the driveway.
* ‘Wolf Diesel Mountain’ (2007 2600 Recordings)
My 2007 mixtape production, which is built on a foundation of indie/post rock music but with a sturdy hip hop structure. Made using an MPC and turntables, and many other bits and pieces.
* B. Dolan: ‘House Of Bees’ Volume 1 (2009 Strange Famous)
The mixtape project/collaboration with the god B.D. and myself. I produced the body of it (and added all the cuts), and mixed it all together afterwards. Some tracks are new, some are re-made, and all in all it’s a full on B. Dolan showcase. He killed it.
* Equinox Records - 25th Release Boxset Megamix (2010 Equinox Records)
For the celebration of the label’s 25th release, I was invited to produce a 25 minute megamix production in which I used a huge amount of the back catalogue, in re-edited, remixed and remade fashion.
* B. Dolan: ‘Fallen House, Sunken City’ (2010 Strange Famous)
Scratches on ‘Mr Buddy Buddy’.
* Sage Francis: ‘Sick Of Wasting’ (2009 Strange Famous)
I made the beats and scratched on ‘Needle’ and ‘Pump’ (Reanimator added some elements to ‘Pump’).
* ‘Go Mean!’ (2010 Gluestick Acoustics)
This is my full length mix for the ‘Monday Jazz’ website. It’s a mix production, where I went in and took apart some tracks, remixed others and included my own beats in much of it. It’s like the unshaven and disgraced cousin of ‘Wolf Diesel Mountain’, wearing a suit like Tom Waits in ‘Short Cuts’.
* ‘Sudden Death Blues’ (2009 Strange Famous)
A podcast production I created for Strange Famous for winter 2009. This has a lot of music I love along with some of my own remixes, re-edits and exclusives. I also narrated it, with cold hands and shivering body (outside in the open).
* Buck 65: Megamix by Buddy Peace (2007 Strange Famous)
This is a megamix production I was invited to produce for the release of Buck’s ‘Situation’ album, on Strange Famous. I focused on ‘Situation’ but went deep into the archives and my own Buck collection with a large hunting knife and included much of this into the mix.
* Speed Dial 7: ‘Short Rich Apocalypse’ (2010 Marathon Of Dope)
Scratches on ‘Back Porch Blues’ and ‘Short Rich Apocalypse’.
* Bracken: ‘Remixes’ (2006 Anticon)
I produced a remix for ‘We Cut The Tapes And Scatter’ (which I subtitled ‘Buddy’s ‘Ultramagnetic Steinbeck’ Remix), which was featured on the Anticon released remix CD.
* Buddy Peace: ‘Holy Chrome’ (2009 Strange Famous)
This is a 2 track 10 minute EP I produced for the release of ‘Late Model Sedan’ and indeed, as a celebration of my inclusion into the Strange Famous crew. A cassette minded production, heavy on the edits.
* Warp Records: ‘Watch And Repeat Play’ (2004 Warp Records)
I was invited, along with ‘Zilla’ (now known as King Cannibal), to produce a mix for Warp to be released aong with the 15 year anniversary DVD. We took it a section at a time, so it alternated between sections we’d both individually produced. We are both super proud of this one! It came out really well.
* Buck 65: ‘Dirtbike’ Volume 1, 2 & 3 (2009 Self Released)
I produced each intro, and produced/co-produced and scratched on tracks from all volumes (including amongst others, ‘Bury The Music’ (feat. Sage Francis) and ‘Not I’).
* Buck 65: Knitting Factory Performance’ December 2008
Buck invited me to produce a whole backing track in a megamix style for his one-off performance at New York’s Knitting Factory. We got a setlist together and I went to work on what became a full half hour set, with exclusives and classics/oldies too. The set killed.
* Shane Hall: ‘Basic Draining’ (2009 Tickle Bomb Music)
I provided the drum track for his amazing cover of Brian Eno’s ‘Fat Lady Of Limbourgh’.
* Bully Records 7” Megamix (2005 Bully Records)
I was invited to produce a megamix of the back catalogue of Bully Records, in which I used every single release up to that point. 1000 copies were manufactured, and it was mastered by Sixtoo.
* Carlo & Buddy Peace: ‘Commonwealth Kids’ Mix CD/7” (2006 Paper Street Soap Company/Gluestick Acoustics)
A UK/Canada collaboration, between myself and good friend Carlo Cossette, formerly of Bully Records. Insane fun to produce, we did this in long distance and long form tag-team style (postal service all the way). It came out nice. We both produced the mix CD and Carlo produced the 7” (mastered by Sixtoo).
* The Secret Life Of Sound: ‘Invisible Superstars’ (2006 TSLOS)
This is a compilation curated by Controller 7, who asked friends to provide music for this compilation. I submitted ‘Slow Gang Funeral’. Some copies were pressed on gold vinyl too, which look amazing.
* El Chavo: ‘Selectah’ / ‘The Heat’ 7” (2008 Jakarta)
I provided cuts on ‘Selectah’.
* Debilorithmicos: ‘Dimarts I Dijous’ (2008 Pulpa)
I provided cuts on ‘Won’t Stop’ (feat. Omniscient).
* 2600 Recordings: ‘Home Entertainment’ sampler (2006 2600 Recordings)
I submitted two tracks, ‘Burner Kit’ and ‘Cold Train Heater’.
* Jazz-T: ‘All City Kings’ (2008 Boot Records)
I joined in the mayhem of the posse-scratch cut ‘All City Kings’. We each had a few bars to play with and I’m in there around the middle. Mad fun.
* ‘ZILLA’ & Buddy Peace: ‘A Friendly Game Of Chess’ Mix CD (2003 Bewilderd Beat Hedz/Gluestick Acoustics)
A postal service-produced mix, in the style of folks posting chess moves back and forth to each other. We got through a lot of music and included a lot of our ideas, and it was a great early session to collaborate on.
* Buddy Peace: ‘A Crew Caled Self’ Mix CD (2004 Boomkat Select)
This was part 7 in the Boomkat Select mix series. A full on full length production, with loads of MPC elements as well as straight up turntable work too. An early but important stage in my mixtape development.
* Various Artists: ‘Twisting The Frame’ Volumes 1 & 2 (2007/2009 Myuzyk Netlabel)
I submitted a track on each volume- ‘Septuhseemeeuh’ on volume 1, and ‘Crimson Feather Valve’ on volume 2.
* Sil-X: ‘Sil-X’ EP (2008 Myuzyk Netlabel)
I remixed the title track for this EP.
* Various Artists: ‘A Few New Tunes- Inspired By Boards Of Canada’ (2008 Myuzyk Netlabel)
I submitted two tracks for this compilation, ‘Collapse Suite, Autumn 1974’ (Parts 1 and 2). The goal was to produce a track that displayed influences and inspiration from Boards Of Canada (as the name suggests!).
* Various Artists: ‘SRL Sampler’ (2005 Suburb Record Label)
I submitted two tracks for this compilation, ‘Malt Water’ and ‘Sun Diesel (Loot Sale Edit)’.
* Yellotone: ‘Tar File Junction’ (2004 AI Records)
I added scratches to ‘Crunk’ and ‘Cool Blue Albion’.
* Dr Rubberfunk: ‘Watch The Tables Turn’ (2006 Funky Down)
Scratches on the main track.
* Dave House: ‘Kingston’s Current’ (2004 Gravity DIP Records)
I remixed ‘Weeknights & Weekends’.
